Arrest a worker disguised as Chuck E. Cheese for alleged robbery in Florida
The man was arrested while wearing the iconic pizza chain costume for children, accused of stealing and using a debit card
An unusual arrest occurred on Wednesday night at a Chuck E. Cheese's branch in Tallahassee, Florida, when police detained Jermel Jarreau Jones, 41, who was dressed in a costume of the restaurant's popular mascot.
Police said Jones is accused of stealing a debit card, possessing another person's identification and making six purchases with the card, including at a tobacco shop, a butcher shop and a Whataburger restaurant.

According to the Tallahassee Police Department report, Officer Jarrett Cruz confronted Jones at the restaurant around 7:30 p.m.
“I grabbed his right arm while giving him the verbal command, Chuck E., come with me, Chuck E.,” the officer wrote.
Cruz said the man momentarily resisted arrest while still wearing the full mouse costume. Officers managed to subdue him, handcuffed him, and escorted him from the restaurant.
During the search, police found the debit card stolen at a children's party on June 28 in the suspect's pocket. Jones denied the theft and claimed she had found the card to turn in as lost and found.
Investigation and suspect framed
The victim of the theft noticed unauthorized charges on her card and, on her own, obtained security video from a butcher shop where the card was used.
"She immediately recognized the suspect as a Chuck E. Cheese employee," the police report states.
The victim cooperated with authorities to locate him at the restaurant, which led to his arrest during the workday and in front of several children.
