After several days of speculation, the Mexican singer Kenia Os confirmed the end of her relationship with the corridos tumbados performer Peso Pluma. According to their statements, the decision to go their separate ways was “mutual and out of love.”

On the morning of June 6, the author of “Bad Decisions” reappeared on her Instagram account with a statement in which she addressed the rumors that were generated regarding her romantic situation.

In her lines, Kenia Os announced her breakup with Peso Pluma and called for respect and privacy to be able to navigate this period of changes in her personal life calmly.

"Through this medium, we want to share with you that we have decided to end our relationship (...) We have always prioritized our privacy and integrity as people and we deeply appreciate the affection received throughout this time. We appreciate that you respect our decision and privacy during this personal moment," reads the writing broadcast from their Instagram stories.

In this sense, the couple clarified that their decision was not the result of some third party in disagreement: “It ends with love, respect and on the best terms,” stated the statement signed by Kenia Os and Hassan Emilio Kabande Laija, the famous man's real name.

For its part, Peso Pluma replicated the message from its own digital platforms, reaffirming its position of maintaining a friendly separation without speculation involving third parties.

Kenya Os and Featherweight: A breakup that was seen coming?

Despite the commotion generated by the news of the breakup, rumors of a crisis between Peso Pluma and Kenya Os began to gain strength a week ago, when the 26-year-old artist starred in an emotional moment on stage at one of her concerts.

Images of Kenya bursting into tears while performing the song “Una y Otra Vez” were spread through Instagram and TikTok.

After the event, the singer continued with the show, but was caught wiping her tears on several occasions and hiding her nostalgia by inviting her followers to sing her greatest hits.

And although speculation about a possible breakup between the two emerged, there were also theories that pointed in another direction, such as the singer's feeling of pride at having registered a full house at the venue.
