Ronaldinho praised Santiago Gimenez and the Mexican team

Ronaldinho is one of the great legends of world football. The former “Canarinha” soccer player was asked about his impressions of the 2026 World Cup. “Dinho” hopes that Mexico can have a good participation in the World Cup and believes that Santiago Giménez is a good forward.
Santiago Gimenez did not have a good season with AC Milan due to his injury problems. Ronaldinho, former figure of the Rossoneri team, acknowledged that he likes the Mexican forward.
"I see him very well, he is a player that I love and I wish him good luck. I hope things go well for him," said the former Brazilian player.
Ronaldinho praises Mexico
The Azteca Stadium will host, for the third time in history, the opening match of the World Cup. Ronldinho played one season with the Gallos Blancos de Querétaro. The former Brazilian soccer player knows firsthand how soccer is experienced in Mexican territory.
"I feel very comfortable talking about Mexico. I lived there, people love soccer and the national team has everything to have a great World Cup," he recalled.
Carlo Ancelotti believes that there is no favorite team in the 2026 World Cup. However, Ronaldinho hopes that the Brazilian team will be the champion of the World Cup. Likewise, “Dinho” wants El Tri to do well in the World Cup.
"I hope that Brazil is champion, it is what we all want, but also that Mexico has a great World Cup. It is a country that I am very fond of. My family knows Mexico well and I always wish them the best," he concluded.
