Here, on Tuesday, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has given a gift of 414.84 crores to Bihar. Along with this, the foundation stone of different schemes has been laid and inaugurated.

This step is being taken with the aim of improving education in engineering colleges and polytechnic institutions from the state government level. At present, the number of seats in Government Engineering Colleges is 9,150. Similarly, the number of seats in some selected polytechnic institutes is also being increased. For example, approval has been given to increase 60-60 seats in the subject of food processing. At present, the total number of seats in 44 Government Polytechnic Institutes is 11200.

In the inauguration program and foundation stone of the schemes, CM Nitish Kumar said today I am happy that hostels in the name of Jannayak Karpoori Thakur are ready in Patna, Nawada and Vaishali. CM Nitish Kumar said that many years ago I got an opportunity to meet and talk to students at different places. We want that 3 hostels are being inaugurated today, but from the time to come, the remaining hostels should be constructed soon. At the same time, foundation stone was also laid for the construction of backward and very backward hostels. Our priority would be to get this done as soon as possible.
