After setting off alarms among her followers due to an emergency hospitalization, Bárbara de Regil reappeared publicly. Before the media, the protagonist of “Rosario Tijeras” broke the silence and detailed the alarming domestic accident she suffered when ingesting chlorine by mistake, revealing the physical consequences she deals with on a daily basis.

The incident occurred at her home, when the actress grabbed an unlabeled bottle of water that was in the sink, near the cleaning utensils. Thinking the container belonged to his daughter, De Regil confidently took a drink. The main problem was that the liquid was in a bottle with a dispensing nozzle (pacifier), which caused him to press the container and swallow the chemical directly.

"It tasted horrible, it made my tongue numb. The doctors told me that only my mucosa was burned," confessed the fitness businesswoman.

Despite the scare and the initial medical diagnosis, Bárbara admitted that she still experiences unusual discomfort: “What is happening to me is that I suddenly feel a different PH, I feel something strange that is not part of me,” she explained about the after-effects that persist after the poisoning.

Although at first the actress resisted going to the hospital despite the insistence of her co-workers, she finally had to put herself under specialized medical observation. Fortunately, the situation did not escalate and she herself recognized that part of the initial discomfort was due to the strong psychological stress that the situation generated in her.

Showing off her characteristic sense of humor and her healthy lifestyle, the interpreter joked before the press that “even chlorine does her errands.” However, he clarified that he has already taken strict measures in his home, ordering his cleaning staff to compulsorily label any dangerous substance to avoid future incidents that put his family at risk.

Completely focused on continuing with her work schedule, Bárbara de Regil is in Peru completing various television interviews and preparing to teach a massive motivational cardio class, where she was sheltered by the warm reception of hundreds of local fans.
