The 10-year-old twins who were shot to death allegedly by their father this Sunday afternoon were Hispanic, according to the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD).
Joseph and Greysen Chavez were identified by the LAPD as the two children who died along with their father in an apparent murder-suicide that reportedly occurred during a family gathering at an apartment in the Canoga Park district.
Los Angeles police did not immediately release the identity of the 37-year-old father, who is being kept under wraps pending notification of his family.
