Bollywood actor Abhishek Bachchan will soon be seen in the Hindi remake of Tamil film Karuppu Durai (KD). It is being directed by Madhumita Sundararaman, who also produced the original film. A source close to the production told a news portal that Abhishek will play the role of KD in the Hindi version. According to media reports, the director has made several changes in the script of the film according to the Hindi-speaking audience.
The Tamil-language KD was shot in the interiors of Tamil Nadu, while the Hindi version is currently being shot in Bhopal. In many reports, the schedule of the film has been told as 60 days. According to the information, preparations are on to release the film in the summer of next year. Talking about the film, it revolves around the bond of an elderly man with an eight-year-old child. In the film, KD learns that his family wants him killed. Things take a turn when he runs away from home and meets a young boy on his journey.
The original film starring Mu Ramaswamy and Nagar Vishal was well received by fans and critics. The film, released in the year 2019, was also a hit at the box office. On the work front, Abhishek Bachchan will soon be seen in 'Ghoomar' alongside Saiyami Kher and Angad Bedi. The film is directed by R Balki.
