Did Britney Spears adopt a girl named Lennon? The internet goes crazy with its chaotic publication
The singer published a message in which she implied that she had adopted a girl, but this was not the case.
Britney Spears has done it again: she uploaded one of her characteristic dance videos to Instagram and, in the process, left her followers with their mouths open when she announced that she “adopted a beautiful girl” named Lennon London Spears… The surprise? You could just be playing a very Britney-esque prank.
Over the weekend, the 43-year-old Princess of Pop shared one of her classic clips dancing in her living room. Wearing a skintight pink jumpsuit, black boots, and a matching hat, Spears moved with enthusiasm as she wrote, “I haven't worked out in years so I put on this little pink jumpsuit and PLAYED!”
But what really caught our attention was the caption, where, between winning emojis, she revealed, "I adopted a beautiful baby girl! Her name is Lennon London Spears!" The excitement was such that she even described that the girl was wearing a dress that said: “I'M NEW HERE!!!”
And if that wasn't enough to throw everyone off, Britney finished the post with another gem: "So please stop talking bad about the United States! I have decided to move to Italy" .
Confusion among her followers
Although the announcement generated thousands of reactions and comments, sources close to the singer clarified to TMZ that Britney has not adopted any child... not even a dog. Apparently, the "daughter" is actually a doll, and the baby carrier seen in her videos is used to transport them as part of her peculiar lifestyle.
Furthermore, the exaggerated use of emojis—especially the winking face one—would be a clue that it was all said in a playful tone and not as an official announcement. The moving to Italy thing... is also false. Although, with Britney, you never know.
The truth is that the artist remains one of the most unpredictable and viral figures in pop culture, and his posts continue to entertain (and confuse) his more than 41 million followers.
