Alejandro Fernandez postpones his concerts in the United States for health reasons
El Potrillo announced, through a statement, that he will be away from the stage for a few days due to illness
The Mexican singer Alejandro Fernandez was forced to postpone the concerts he had in the United States in the next few days due to a case of salmonellosis.
The performer himself was in charge of announcing the news through a statement released on Instagram Stories, where he detailed that his affected performances are those he would have in El Paso and Dallas, Texas.
The son of the late Vicente Fernandez had planned to perform this Saturday at the Dickles Arena in Fort Worth, as well as on Sunday at the Don Haskins Center in El Paso, but this will no longer be possible due to medical advice.
"Dear friends of Dallas and El Paso, unfortunately I have been battling salmonella and, on medical advice, I must rest completely for the next four days. The concerts in Dallas and El Paso will be postponed," the singer announced.
He then announced that the Dallas performance will be rescheduled for Saturday, October 18, while the El Paso performance will be for Sunday the 19th.
“Thank you from the bottom of my heart for all your love and understanding,” 'El Potrillo' concluded.
In his same message, he made it clear that his other dates will take place on time. On Friday, September 12, he will be in Phoenix, while on the 13th and 15th he will be in Las Vegas.
What is the salmonellosis that the singer suffers from?
According to the World Health Organization, salmonellosis, which is generally characterized by the sudden onset of fever, abdominal pain, diarrhea, nausea, and sometimes vomiting, is an illness caused by Salmonella.
Salmonellosis is contracted mainly by consuming contaminated foods of animal origin, such as eggs, meat, poultry, and milk.
