Cardi B responds to fans asking her to stay single after her breakup with Stefon Diggs
After being caught with footballer Maduka Okoye, the rapper revealed that she does not plan to give up love to please the public's expectations.
Rapper Cardi B once again made her position very clear regarding her followers' opinions about her love life. The “Bodak Yellow” singer, who recently gave something to talk about after confirming the end of her romance with NFL player Stefon Diggs, decided to address directly those fans who demand that she remain single and focused solely on her career.
During a live broadcast through X Spaces, the artist openly responded to the comments that abound on social networks. “I've seen suggestions from people saying, ‘Oh, I want her to be single, I want her to focus on herself.’ Listen, I'm not going to be single the rest of my life,” she stated emphatically.
The rapper explained that she complied with the public's demands for much of the last few months, dedicating herself completely to work and her children. “I was single throughout my entire ‘Little Miss Drama’ tour. Single, not talking to anyone, not entertaining anyone,” she explained. However, he readily admitted to having stumbled upon briefly reuniting with Diggs at the beginning of the year, a situation he immediately ended to move on.
Since then, Cardi B claims to be enjoying a period of fulfillment: going out partying, traveling with friends and sharing relaxed moments. The online conversation heated up even more after she was recently photographed having dinner in Venice with Nigerian goalkeeper Maduka Okoye, which sparked a flurry of speculation among her fans.
True to her direct and ironic style, the Grammy winner argued that, although she recognizes that she could “choose better men,” she does not plan to deprive herself of meeting people or enjoying romance. “At the end of the day, the body needs love and entertainment too,” he joked.
