Shakira revealed Ed Sheeran will be one of the guests at her shows in the US.
The Colombian star confirmed through her social networks that the Briton will accompany her on stage at one of her concerts in New York.
Just one week before the North American leg of the “Women No Longer Cry World Tour” resumes its course, Shakira shook social media with an important announcement. The singer-songwriter from Barranquilla revealed that the British artist Ed Sheeran will be her special guest at one of the shows scheduled in New York.
Through her Instagram stories, the “Anthology” performer did not hide her excitement when sharing the scoop with her millions of followers.
“My God, Ed Sheeran just confirmed to me that he is going to perform at one of my shows in New York, and we are going to perform together on one of those songs that I think you are going to love,” said the visibly excited singer.
The historic live collaboration will take place at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, where the Colombian has two consecutive dates scheduled for July 20 and 21, 2026.
Although Shakira preferred to keep the title of the song they will perform together under lock and key, expectations among fans are high, considering the solid professional relationship and close friendship that unites both stars.
It should be remembered that both came together in 2025 for a renewed version of “Hips Don't Lie” and that Sheeran co-wrote the song “Dai Dai”, one of the official songs of the 2026 World Cup.
This announcement comes at a peak moment for the Barranquilla native, who is preparing for a demanding schedule in the United States that will coincide with the World Cup celebration, before completing her participation in the sporting event and embarking on her massive residency in Spain.
