The cases of corona infection are increasing continuously in the country. In the last 24 hours, 15,940 new cases of corona infection have been reported in the country, while 20 more patients have died during this period. With the increase in new cases of the corona, the number of active cases in the country has also crossed 90 thousand. There are now 91,779 active cases in the country. At the same time, the infection rate has reached 4.39%.

The Union Health Ministry said that due to the arrival of 15,940 new cases of Covid-19 in a day in India, the number of people infected with the coronavirus in the country so far reached 4,33,78,234. At the same time, due to the death of 20 more patients due to infection, the death toll increased to 5,24,974. The number of active cases of Covid-19 in the country has increased from 88,284 to 91,779.

In Bihar, 152 new corona infected have been found in the last 24 hours. These newly infected have been found in 23 districts of the state. Maximum 85 new coronas have been found in Patna district. Apart from this, 10 in Bhagalpur district, eight in Muzaffarpur, six in Banka, five in Katihar, four each in Saharsa, Samastipur and Sitamarhi, three each in Gaya and Supaul, two each in Nalanda, Arwal, Khagaria, Kishanganj, Saran and Begusarai. Two more new infected were found in Araria, Jehanabad, Madhepura, Munger, Rohtas, Sheikhpura and Siwan.

During the last 24 hours, 82 more people have been confirmed to be infected with the coronavirus in Chhattisgarh. With this, the total number of people affected by Covid-19 in the state has gone up to 11,53,552 till Friday. Health department officials in the state said on Friday that today six persons have been discharged from the hospital after becoming infection-free, while 65 people completed the period of home isolation. No patient infected with the coronavirus has died in the state on Friday.

On Friday, 4,205 new cases of Covid-19 were reported in Maharashtra, taking the total number of infected people to 79,54,445, while the death toll due to the epidemic increased to 1,47,896 after the death of three more patients. On Thursday, 5,218 cases of infection were registered in the state while one patient died.

On Friday, 1447 new cases of Covid-19 infection were found in Delhi, while one person died due to coronavirus. The infection rate (positivity rate) in Delhi has come down to 5.98 percent. All new cases of infection were detected after the investigation of 24,203 people done a day earlier. The total number of people infected with the coronavirus in Delhi has increased to 19,28,841. On Thursday, 1,934 new cases of infection with coronavirus were registered in Delhi and no one died due to it, but then the infection rate was 8.10 percent.

After 54 new cases of coronavirus infection were reported in Jammu and Kashmir on Friday, the total number of infected people increased to 4,54,677. Officials said 35 cases were reported in Jammu and 19 in Kashmir. No case of death was reported in the last 24 hours and the death toll still stands at 4,755.

After getting 61 new patients of Covid-19 in Odisha on Friday, the total number of infected people in the state increased to 12,89,129. According to the bulletin of the state health department, the death toll remains stable at 9,126 as no patient died in the last 24 hours.
