A suspected Al Qaeda terrorist has been arrested from a madrasa in Uttar Pradesh's Saharanpur. The Special Task Force (STF) of Kolkata Police arrested the terrorist after reaching Saharanpur. The arrested terrorist has been identified as Hasnat Sheikh.

After Hasnat's arrest, his mother claimed that her son was admitted to a madrasa in Saharanpur. He told, after studying in a local madrasa in Malda, he got admission in a madrasa in Burdwan. Hasnat's family members and villagers have also claimed that they did not know anything about his involvement with terrorist organisations.
