Diwali 2022: Due to Diwali, the hotels of Jharkhand's capital Ranchi were investigated on Sunday. During this, a case of adulteration in paneer, milk cake and rasgulla has come to the fore. The adulterated material was destroyed by the investigation team and a fine has been imposed. The campaign was launched under the leadership of District Food Safety Officer Subir Ranjan. In view of the festival, a special campaign against adulteration of food items was started from October 17.

On Sunday, more than a dozen hotels in Ranchi's Singh Mor, Tupudana and Hatia were investigated for adulteration. During this adulteration was found in the milk cake at Maa Jagdamba Hotel. A mixture of arrowroot was found in the rasgullas of Maa Kali Hotel, while adulterated paneer was found in Sagun Sweets. District Food Safety Officer Subir Ranjan told that the shops in which cases of adulteration have come. They have been fined.
Take a receipt with cheese
Let us tell you that in view of the festival, a special campaign against adulteration in food items has been started from October 17. This lasted till the eve of Diwali. In this campaign, testing was done with Mobile Food Testing Lab. During this 9 samples of paneer were not found as per the standard. Everyone has been fined. The District Food Safety Officer said that everyone has been told that they must take a receipt for the purchase of cheese as the samples of paneer have failed in this campaign. Therefore, an action plan is being prepared against its seller. When people take the receipt, the sellers of adulterated paneer will be easily identified.
