Forex trader Pandey Brothers did online transactions worth Rs 207 crore, revealed in police investigation

After doing illegal transactions of 130 crore rupees by the vicious ones, they were released with zero balance.

In the investigation against Shailesh Pandey and his brother Arvind Pandey associated with forex trading in Shivpur of Howrah district, adjacent to Kolkata, the capital of West Bengal, the police have got information about illegal transactions on a large scale. So far, a total of Rs 207 crore illegal transactions have been detected by both the brothers.

Already opened 17 bank accounts

Sources in Kolkata Police Headquarters Lal Bazar say that on checking the 11 bank accounts found earlier, they came to know about illegal online transactions of Rs 77 crore in those accounts. After this, 17 other accounts were found in the investigation. These accounts were opened before those 11 bank accounts, which were detected by the police.

130 crore transactions illegally

Scrutiny of those 17 accounts revealed that there have been illegal online transactions worth Rs 130 crore. After doing illegal transactions of 130 crore rupees by the vicious ones, they were released with zero balance. After this, in the month of August, first five, then six i.e. in total, 11 new bank accounts were opened and illegal transactions of Rs 77 crore were done in those 11 bank accounts in a new way.

Police freeze Rs 20 crore

Out of these 11, the police succeeded in freezing Rs 20 crore present in 2 bank accounts. Apart from this, after checking the flat, office and car of Pandey Brothers, Rs 8.15 crore cash and jewelery worth Rs 13 lakh and many documents have been seized so far.

Pandey brothers will be caught by the police in a day or two

Officials say that six teams of Kolkata Police from Lal Bazar are raiding many places in search of the Pandey brothers. They fled before the police arrived at two places. But, they are not far away from the reach of the police. The police are confident that the Pandey brothers will be arrested within the next day or two.
