Netflix confirms the spin-off of 'Victorious': Release date and what is known
Daniella Monet, one of the original stars of the show, will return, but as a professor at Hollywood Arts
The famous Nickelodeon series Victorious is officially back. Netflix has given the green light to Hollywood Arts, a spin-off that will continue the legacy of the acclaimed production, with an initial order of 26 episodes. The series is set to premiere on the streaming platform in 2026, before later arriving on Nickelodeon and Paramount+.
The production will be led by Daniella Monet, who will not only reprise her role as the ever-memorable Trina Vega, but will also serve as executive producer. Filming will begin in the coming weeks in Vancouver.
Trina Vega Returns to Hollywood Arts... as a Teacher
The new series will follow Trina Vega at a very different stage of her life. According to the official synopsis, Trina returns to her old high school, Hollywood Arts, this time as a substitute teacher, ill-equipped for the position.
There, she will clash with—but also inspire—a new generation of talented and ambitious students as they all find their way at Hollywood's most exclusive performing arts school.
“To be returning as Trina alongside such a dynamic and powerful cast of newcomers is something I feel so lucky and grateful for,” said Monet.
“Victorious was life-changing for all of us in so many ways; our cast is forever bonded by that experience, and to think that I get to direct something similar is an indescribable feeling.”
Along with Monet, the main cast will include newcomers such as Alyssa Miles, Emmy Liu-Wang, Peyton Jackson, Erika Swayze and Martin Kamm. Additionally, actress Yvette Nicole Brown will guest star.
Behind the scenes, the series will feature Jake Farrow and Samantha Martin—who will write, produce, and direct—as well as Jonathan Judge as executive producer and director of the pilot episode. It's important to note that Dan Schneider, creator of the original series, is not involved in this new project.
Interest in the Victorious universe remains strong: all episodes of the original series are available on Netflix in the United States, where the platform reports having accumulated 45 million views since the beginning of 2024.
