Expressway will connect three states
According to sources, Gorakhpur to
Siliguri Expressway will reach
Siliguri from
Uttar Pradesh via
Bihar. In such a situation, the length of this expressway connecting the three states is about 600 km. Most of it will pass through
Bihar in a length of about 416 km. If approval is received from the Central Government through
Madhepura and
Saharsa districts, then there may be slight changes in its alignment. This will not only make
Bihar easy to travel between
Uttar Pradesh and Bengal, but it will also open new avenues of trade. The entire part of this expressway will be greenfield. It has also been learned that no old road will be included in the expressway.
The entire part will be greenfield
The entire part of this expressway will be greenfield. There is no plan to include any old road in the expressway. This expressway will also have connectivity with other roads including Gorakhpur-Azamgarh Link Expressway in
Uttar Pradesh. In this way it will be easy to travel from
Siliguri to major cities of
Uttar Pradesh as well as
Delhi.
Distance will be reduced to less than 600 km
At present there is no direct road between Gorakhpur to
Siliguri. Because of this, it takes a long time to cover the distance from Gorakhpur to
Siliguri. The proposed Gorakhpur-
Siliguri Expressway will reduce the distance between the two cities to less than 600 km. This will make transportation easier. Along with this, new avenues of business will also open.
