The Income Tax Department team has raided several places in three states, including the house and office of the owner of Balmukund Sponge Iron Factory located in Giridih district of Jharkhand. The company's locations in Jharkhand, Bihar and West Bengal were raided simultaneously. The officials of Bengal and other states are also included in the team of the Income Tax Department that has reached to take action. The IT team is busy in sifting through all the papers.

According to the information received, since the morning of Wednesday (30 November 2022), the IT team is raiding several locations including Jharkhand, Bihar, Bengal of Balmukund Sponge Iron Factory located in Manjhaladih Chatro of Giridih district's industrial area. The officials and personnel of Bengal and other states are also included in this team.

It was told that at around 6 in the morning, the IT team suddenly reached Balamukund Sponge Iron Factory, factory owner's house, office and many different locations to raid simultaneously. At present, wherever the raid is going on, it has been completely sealed. Neither any person is allowed to go inside the premises, nor is anyone allowed to exit from inside.

According to the information, the IT team had received information that the Balamukund Sponge Iron Factory had committed tax evasion on a large scale. After this the IT team has reached Giridih to take action. If sources are to be believed, the IT team is raiding some locations of Balmukund Iron Factory in Bengal and Bihar as well. However, this is yet to be confirmed. At present, since this morning, Giridih is engaged in checking papers at different places.
