Infiltration bid foiled in Poonch, BSF kills two infiltrators on LoC, arms recovered in huge quantity

Officials said the Indian Army killed two terrorists and foiled an infiltration bid along the Line of Control (LoC) in Balakote sector of Poonch district.
The security forces recovered a huge cache of arms and ammunition including one AK 47, two magazines, 30 rounds, two hand grenades and medicine of Pakistan origin.
Inputs from the intelligence agencies and the police revealed that some infiltrators from across the Line of Control were waiting to enter the Balakot sector. Based on the inputs a monitoring grid was put on alert.
Alert troops spotted two infiltrators trying to cross the LoC by taking advantage of bad weather, dense fog, thick foliage and rough terrain in Hamirpur area of Balakot sector.
As soon as the intruders reached near the border, the jawans challenged them. When he did not stop, he was fired upon. Due to this both were forced to run away. However, one fell near the LoC in the firing. Another fell some distance away.
Huge amount of weapons recovered
After this, the search operation was carried out in the afternoon when the weather was clear. According to ANI, both the infiltrators were injured, but managed to return across the LoC. Later he died. Army personnel recovered one AK 47 rifle, two magazines, 30 rounds, two grenades and medicines of Pakistan origin. Traces of blood have also been found at some places on the road leading to the LoC.
