Independence Day 2022: On the occasion of Independence Day, Chief Minister Hemant Soren counted the priority of the government from Morhabadi Maidan in Ranchi. Beginning his address with Johar, the CM saluted the brave martyrs of Jharkhand and extended warm greetings and best wishes to the people of the country including the people of Jharkhand.

CM Hemant Soren said that 75th anniversary of the country's independence is being celebrated with full gaiety. We should not forget that we have got this freedom after the martyrdom of many brave warriors. Said that our government is constantly striving to build a strong state with the vision of 'Vikas Mool Mantra, Aadhar Democracy'.

1. The performance of Jharkhand has improved in the Innovation Index. We are also in a better position than many states in cleanliness standards.

2. On the basis of the report of National Family Health Survey, there has been a reduction in infant mortality rate, malnutrition and anemia among women and children in the state.

3. The state has performed better in the field of forest conservation. Between the year 2019 to 2021, an increase of 110 square kilometers has been registered in the forest area.

4. The Employment Act 2021 of Local Candidates in the Private Sector of Jharkhand State has been constituted. Under this act, local candidates will be employed on 75 percent of the total vacancy of posts with monthly salary up to Rs. This decision will prove to be a milestone in providing employment to local youth within the state and preventing migration.

5. An amount of one lakh rupees is also being given by the government to the dependents of the deceased migrant worker.

6. 'Jharkhand Industrial and Investment Promotion Policy 2021' has been implemented in the state. Under this, special focus has been given on core sectors especially food processing, renewable energy, logistics, minerals and textile based industries.

7. To promote exports from the state, the foundation stone of the World Trade Center was laid in Ranchi. With this, all the activities related to international trade especially export promotion will be operated under one roof. This center will play an important role in strengthening the economic activities of Jharkhand.

8. 'New Tourism Policy, 2021' has been notified in Jharkhand. Under this policy, there is a provision to give various types of incentives on investment in tourism sector in the state.

9. For the first time after the formation of the state, we have appointed youth/girls on the post of Sub-Divisional Agriculture Officer.

10. A 'New Sports Policy' has been made to encourage sports and sportspersons in the state. For the first time in the state, District Sports Officers have been appointed for the players to get proper support from the government.

11. 'Sarvajan Pension Yojana' was started in the state. Under this, our old, destitute women and disabled people standing at the last rung of the society can get the right to live life with dignity. After the launch of the scheme, so far about 12 lakh beneficiaries have been linked to this scheme.

12. Four important schemes of Jharkhand government- Birsa Harit Gram Yojana, Nilambar-Pitamber Jal Samridhi Yojana, Veer Shaheed Poto Ho Khel Vikas Yojana and Didi Bari Yojana were launched. Under the Birsa Harit Gram Yojana, fruit trees are being planted in about 21 thousand acres of land this year. At the same time, under Nilambar-Pitamber Jal Samridhi Yojana, about 20 thousand schemes have been completed in this financial year and work is going on on about 81 thousand schemes. Apart from this, the work of construction of 140 sports grounds has been completed under the Veer Shaheed Poto Ho Khel Vikas Yojana. 2487 The construction work of the playground is in progress.

13. 'Jharkhand State Agricultural Debt Waiver Scheme' is being operated from the year 2022 to provide relief to the small and marginal farmers of the state who are burdened with agricultural debt. Under this, a total amount of 1529 crores has been transferred to the loan accounts of 3,83,102 farmers so far.

14. For the purpose of providing financial assistance to the farmers, the state government has so far approved 4.28 lakh new KCC applications and an amount of 1583 crores has been approved.

15. 'Jharkhand State Crop Relief Scheme' was started to compensate for the economic loss in the agricultural production of the farmers of the state. An amount of 100 crores is being arranged under this scheme.

16. 'Jharkhand Solar Energy Policy, 2022' has been implemented. A target has been set to generate 4000 MW of electricity from solar energy by 2027. The state's Giridih city is being developed as a 'Solar City'. Apart from this, solar power parks of 20 MW capacity are being set up in Deoghar, Simdega, Garhwa and Palamu.

17. CM-SARTHI scheme is being started from 15th November for the youth of the state. Under this, along with providing free training for competitive examinations, incentive allowance will be made available. The 'Guruji Student Credit Card' scheme is being started for studies in reputed institutions of the country.

18. To make higher education better and accessible, 'Jharkhand Open University' and 'Pandit Raghunath Murmu Tribal University' have been established.

The requisition has been sent to the Jharkhand Public Service Commission for the appointment of 2,716 vacancies of teachers in the university. At the same time, the process of appointment is under process.

19. With the efforts of the state government, in-principle approval has been received on eight major road projects. Under this, 1570 km of four-lane roads will be constructed at a cost of about 30 thousand crores.

20. Under the program 'Aapke Adhikar Aapki Sarkar Aapke Dwar', more than 35 lakh problems were resolved.

21. 'Maral Gomke Jaipal Singh Munda Pardeshi Scholarship Scheme' was started for 10 students of Scheduled Castes to get higher education abroad. While expanding this scheme from the financial year 2022-23, it has been decided to benefit students of scheduled castes, minorities and backward classes in addition to scheduled tribes.
