Late on Sunday night, Sanjay Nishad, the national president of the Nishad Party and a cabinet minister in the Yogi government, was assaulted and sustained injuries, particularly to his nose. The incident occurred while he was attending a wedding ceremony in Mohammadpur Kathar village in the Kotwali city area. Nishad alleges that he was attacked by individuals associated with the Samajwadi Party.

Upon receiving news of the assault, district authorities and other senior officials promptly arrived at the scene. An official case has been registered by the police based on Minister Sanjay Nishad's complaint, and efforts are underway to locate and apprehend the perpetrators.
