PM Modi Slams Congress in Chhattisgarh Rally: Accuses Party of Supporting Violence
Prime Minister Narendra Modi condemns Congress during a rally in Chhattisgarh, accusing the party of endorsing violence and proposing higher taxes on the middle class.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi made his presence felt in Surguja, Chhattisgarh as he graced the Maharally with his attendance. The event saw the participation of several prominent BJP leaders, including Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai, Surguja Lok Sabha candidate Chintamani Maharaj, and Ministers Ramvichar Netam and Lakshmi Rajwade, alongside MLA Renuka Singh. Addressing the gathered crowd, PM Modi launched a scathing attack on the Congress party, accusing them of siding with those who propagate violence and questioning their loyalty to the nation.
In his speech, PM Modi criticized Congress for allegedly sympathizing with individuals involved in violent activities, labeling them as martyrs. He took a dig at a senior Congress leader, insinuating that the leader sheds tears for terrorists but remains indifferent to the sacrifices made by security personnel. PM Modi asserted that such actions have eroded the trust of the people in the Congress party.
Turning his attention to economic policies, PM Modi lambasted Congress for its purported plans to burden the middle class with higher taxes. He highlighted the party's proposal to impose inheritance tax, suggesting that Congress aims to levy taxes even after individuals pass away. PM Modi accused Congress of being against the interests of the common people, emphasizing their alleged disregard for social justice and constitutional principles.
Concluding his address, PM Modi reiterated BJP's commitment to protecting the rights and welfare of the people, particularly in terms of reservation policies. He asserted that only BJP can safeguard the interests of the citizens and accused Congress of harboring intentions contrary to the nation's welfare.
