The Supreme Court refused to hear the petition demanding the declaration of Sri Sri Thakur Anukulchandra as divine and said, India is a secular country. Here everyone has the freedom to believe in the God of their choice. A bench of Justice MR Shah and Justice CT Ravi, while dismissing the petition, remarked that no one can be compelled to believe in Sri Sri Thakur Anukulchandra as divine.
The court imposed a fine of 1 lakh on the petitioner
Commenting on the demand to declare Anukulchandra as divine, the Supreme Court said, this is not a petition. The court imposed a fine of one lakh rupees on the petitioner and said, now people will think four times before filing such a petition.
