Patna Police is on alert mode regarding Chhath Puja. Patna Police has made special preparations to prevent the gathering of anti-social elements at the ghats. SSP Manavjit Singh Dhillon has formed a special team and directed the police to be stationed in civil dress at every ghat. This year there is a possibility of more crowd gathering in Chhath Mahaparv, due to which additional forces have been deployed in every police station area.

10 companies of armed police and anti-riot have been deployed in Patna. Apart from this, more than 1500 police forces will be deployed at various ghats in Patna. The SSP has also set up a control room regarding Chhath, in which complaints will be heard. Giving instructions to all the police station heads, the SSP said that no anti-social elements should be allowed to gather near the ghat. Detain suspicious people immediately and take further action after investigation.
Policemen's leave canceled due to Chhath
In fact, there is a huge crowd in Patna during Chhath, in view of which there will be 30 DSP rank officers in Patna district. The SSP has canceled the leave of all the policemen regarding Chhath Mahaparv. Apart from this, those who are on leave have also been asked to join duty. Simultaneously, the police will also monitor the ghats from the watch tower.
Swimmers will be stationed on the ghats
Inflatable motorboats and country boats are available during Chhath. Trained divers, swimmers and boat drivers have been deputed on river ghats with life jackets/ motorboats/ country boats etc. There will be a ban on the operation of private boats from bathing to giving morning arghya. Instructions have been issued to get it monitored through magistrate, police force and watchman.
If caught leaving firecrackers, fine and action will also be taken
If anyone is caught leaving firecrackers on Chhath Ghats, strict legal action will be taken along with fine. On the other hand, if children are found bursting firecrackers, then they will have to pay this compensation to their families. Police deployed in civil dress have been instructed to keep a special watch on such people.
