All Party Meeting On Sri Lanka Crisis: When the issue of financial condition of the states was raised in the all-party meeting called on the Sri Lanka crisis , the opposition strongly opposed it. Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) sources gave this information. Sources said that the opposition parties strongly opposed the issue of taking loans of the states. All the parties asked the government that if the issue of taking loans of the states is being raised here, then why is there no discussion about the debt of the central government?

Opposition parties questioned the government that why politics is being done on this issue? TRS sources said that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is deliberately raising the issue of Telangana's financial condition for vested political interests. Let us inform that an all-party meeting was called on Tuesday under the chairmanship of External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar.

On the other hand, External Affairs Minister Dr S Jaishankar said that many people were worried that the situation in India would be like Sri Lanka. Such news was also going on in the media. That's why we had asked for a presentation on this from the Finance Ministry. The Finance Ministry made a detailed presentation and gave it to us. It had state wise details. From expenses to income, from debt to GSDP, growth rate or debt, the debt they have taken, the properties they have leased out.

Not only this, energy companies like GENCOM and DISCOM have been given guarantees by the states in return for the dues. We had talks in a very good atmosphere. Had a good conversation. The leaders of all the parties who attended the all-party meeting wanted to know how our preparations are.

In the meeting, S Jaishankar said that Sri Lanka is facing a very serious crisis. Naturally India is very concerned about this. He said that such a situation will arise in India, there is no remote possibility. Dr Jaishankar said, 'The reason we have requested all of you to participate in the all-party meeting is that this is a very serious crisis. What we are seeing in Sri Lanka is unprecedented in many ways.

S Jaishankar said, "The matter pertains to a close neighbor and being very close to it, we are naturally concerned about the consequences." Jaishankar said that many wrong comparisons are being made about Sri Lanka and some people are asking whether such a situation can come in India. He called it a wrong comparison. Senior Union ministers including Parliamentary Affairs Minister Prahlad Joshi were present in the all-party meeting.

The meeting was attended by Congress's P Chidambaram, Manickam Tagore, NCP chief Sharad Pawar, DMK's TR Baalu ​​and MM Abdullah, AIADMK's M Thambidurai, Trinamool Congress's Saugata Roy, National Conference's Farooq Abdullah, Aam Aadmi Party's Sanjay Singh, Telangana Rashtra. Keshava Rao of Samiti, Ritesh Pandey of Bahujan Samaj Party, Vijayasai Reddy of YSR Congress and Vaiko of MDMK etc participated.

Sri Lanka is facing the most severe economic crisis in the last 7 decades, where the lack of foreign exchange is hampering the import of essential commodities including food, fuel and medicines. The situation arising out of the economic crisis after the fierce demonstrations against the government has also given rise to a political crisis in the country.
