UP: Akhilesh in preparation to give a strong reply to ECI notice, sought affidavit of voters deducted from voter list
The Election Commission of India has issued a notice to SP chief Akhilesh Yadav, seeking his reply by November 10.
The Election Commission of India (ECI) has issued a notice to Samajwadi Party (SP) chief Akhilesh Yadav a few days ago, seeking a reply by November 10. After the defeat in the election, Akhilesh Yadav had accused Yadav and Muslim community of cutting 20 thousand votes from every assembly seat. Along with this, the Election Commission was accused of benefitting the BJP.
Affidavit sought from complainants
In this case, the Election Commission has asked to present the evidence. SP chief Akhilesh Yadav is preparing to give a strong answer to the Election Commission. On behalf of the state president Naresh Uttam Patel, a letter has been sent to all the MLAs, assembly candidates, district-metropolitan president and key office bearers of the party. Through the letter, the SP has asked for the affidavit of the person whose name has been wrongly omitted, by collecting the pages of the voter list of both the name entered in the voter list and the name removed from the voter list.
Will have to be deposited in SP office by November 3
The photocopy of the complaint regarding the deletion of the name from the voter list and the voter list document along with the proof has been asked to be compulsorily submitted to the state office by November 03, 2022. It has been told in the letter of the SP that on the instructions of the Election Commission of India, the final publication of the voter list was done on 15 January 2021. From 16 January 2021 to 31 October 2021, consecutive names were cut and added. All this together the draft roll of the voter list was published on November 1, 2021.
Accused of wrongly cutting name
A special brief revision campaign was conducted by the Election Commission from 1 November 2021 to 5 December 2021. After this revision campaign, the final publication of the voter list took place on 5 January 2022. The election was announced on 8 January 2022 after the names of the names were wrongly cut in the voter list published on 5 January 2022 and after the publication of the voter list on 05 January 2022. His name was wrongly omitted in Supplementary List-2 from 5 January 2022 to 8 January 2022.
Searching for evidence
On the day of polling, the names were cut off in the voter list of the presiding officer, while his name was recorded in the voter list given to the candidates. According to the instructions of the national president of the SP, the list of wrongly named names from the voter list, affidavit documents and demand for proof So that the answer can be filed before November 10 to the Election Commission. After the letter from the state office, SP has started looking for evidence.
