Trump's accusations about California voting are baseless, says Los Angeles registrar
Los Angeles County official denies President Trump's allegations about primaries; Logan says it's a national narrative
President Donald Trump's accusations last week that Democrats were stealing California's primary election are unsupported, Los Angeles County Recorder Dean Logan said.
In his Truth Social account, Trump launched himself against voting by mail, which was promoted by the governor of California, Gavin Newsom, for the electoral process on Tuesday, June 2, without presenting any evidence.
"They are trying to STEAL THE CALIFORNIA GOVERNOR PRIMARY AND THE LOS ANGELES MAYOR PRIMARY FROM TWO GREAT REPUBLICAN CANDIDATES. Here we go with the massive and late amount of MAIL-IN BALLOTS," the president wrote.
