But above all, he is an extraordinary human being, a golden boy who has never forgotten his roots, who quietly puts compassion before recognition and who always reaches out to those most in need. I am very proud that this year's award has fallen into his hands," said the UEFA President, who presents this award annually to recognize a sporting icon whose influence goes beyond the pitch.
The former Swedish footballer is recognized for his goal-scoring instincts and his overwhelming personality, but also for his humanitarian work, including significant donations to hospitals and efforts to support children in need; In addition to leveraging his influence to promote vital causes, raising awareness and mobilizing resources to combat hunger, promote education, and support disaster relief efforts, Ibrahimovic said: "It's a great honor to receive this award.
