Som Pradosh Vrat November 2022: Trayodashi date falls twice in every month. One in Shukla Paksha and the other in Krishna Paksha. Trayodashi Tithi is dedicated to Lord Bholenath. Pradosh Vrat is observed on Trayodashi Tithi. On this day, Lord Shiva and Mother Parvati are worshiped during the Pradosh period. Pradosh Vrat is also named on the basis of the day of the week on which Trayodashi Tithi falls. The special importance of Pradosh Vrat has been told in the scriptures. This time the first Pradosh Vrat of the month of Marshish is being observed on Monday in the Krishna Paksha. For this reason it is called Som Pradosh Vrat. On the day of Shubh Yoga Pradosh Vrat, Ayushman Yoga is being made from morning till 09.06 in the night. According to religious belief, worshiping in this yoga gives double the result. 

On the day of Som Pradosh, after taking bath etc. in the morning, wear clean clothes. 

Now place a post and install a picture or an idol of Lord Shiva and Mother Parvati on it. 

After this, worship Shodashopchar. 

After taking bath again in the evening, start worship in auspicious time. 

Abhishek Shivling with cow's milk, curd, ghee, honey and Gangajal etc. 

Then apply white sandalwood on the Shivling and offer belpatra, Madar, flowers, cannabis, etc. 

After this, worship and perform aarti according to the method. 

According to mythological belief, all wishes are fulfilled by observing Som Pradosh fast. People who have Kalsarp Dosha or Grahan Dosha in their horoscope must observe Som Pradosh fast. By observing Pradosh Vrat and worshiping Shiva, diseases, planetary defects, sufferings, sins etc. go away.
