FC Barcelona Femenil will return to Mexico for the third consecutive year to carry out a preseason tour between August 19 and 25, 2025, where they will play two high-profile friendly matches, according to confirmed the Catalan club this Monday.
Friendlies against Estrellas de la Liga MX Femenil and Club America
The first match will be on Friday, August 22 at 8:30 p.m. (local time) at the UANL Stadium in Monterrey, with a capacity for 42,000 spectators. The Barça team will face a team of stars from the Liga BBVA MX Femenil, in a duel that promises excitement and international level.
The second match will take place on Sunday, August 24 at 12:00 noon (local time) at the Ciudad de los Deportes Stadium in Mexico City, against Club América Femenil.
It will be a special clash, as Barça will be reunited with Sandra Paños and Bruna Vilamala, former Barca goalkeepers and forwards who are now part of the Coapa team.
Shared history between Barça and Mexican women's soccer
In addition to Paños and Vilamala, other former Barca players have shone in the Liga MX Femenil, such as Jenni Hermoso, Andrea Pereira and Andrea Falcón. In turn, several Mexican footballers have worn the FC Barcelona shirt, including Maribel Dominguez, Kenti Robles, Pamela Tajonar and Patty Perez.
