Eight-year-old Aryveer created history, won silver medal in Bangkok Rapid Chess

India's eight-year-old Aryaveer Pitti won the silver medal in the under-eight category at the Bangkok Rapid Chess Championship. Aryaveer scored four points out of a possible six at Prasaranmit Plaza Sukhumvit. Thailand's Suthiponpeisarn Prodpich won the title with five points.
Aryaveer is a student of SMCA and trains under the guidance of coach Durga Nagesh Gutula. He is currently preparing for the International Rating Chess Tournament to be held in New Delhi. Aryaveer's mother Nisha Chhabria said, "We are proud of this win and he played very well in this championship and we are looking forward to win more in future."
