England registered a consolation win by beating India by 17 runs in the third and final T20 International on Sunday after David Malan's 39-ball 77 came under tight bowling. India won the first two matches and won the three-match series 2-1. Electing to bat after winning the toss, England posted a mammoth score of 215 for seven with Malan (six fours, five sixes) and Livingstone (42 not out in 29 balls) putting up an 84-run partnership for the fourth wicket.

But the partnership between Suryakumar Yadav (117) and Shreyas Iyer (28 runs) for the fourth wicket of 119 runs in 62 balls saved the team from these setbacks.
