There will be no signing bomb: They assure that in America they do not want to break the market
Aguilas defender Ralph Orquin stated that the team will seek to do well without making multi-million dollar signings.
Mexican American Ralph Orquin, defender for Club América in Mexican soccer, asserted this Thursday that his team does not need a signing that will break the market to compete for another title in the 2025 Apertura that starts this weekend.
"America does not want to break the market with a bomb, it is simply looking for its reinforcements "players who adapt to the style of coach André Jardine," said the 22-year-old full-back, who returned to the Aguilas for this tournament after being on loan with Juarez FC.
Orquin ruled out that the Aguilas are at a disadvantage for the new tournament compared to other teams that have signed international figures.
"You have to be patient, each team hires in its own way, we have our own, and it has worked with four consecutive finals in which we won three league titles. No matter who comes, we have to win wherever it is," he stressed.
Unlike teams like Pumas, who signed Welshman Aaron Ramsey, formerly of Arsenal, Nottingham, Juventus, among others; Tigres, who signed Argentine Angel Correa, World Cup champion in Qatar 2022; the Aguilas have only reinforced themselves with locals Alexis Gutierrez, formerly of Cruz Azul; Isaias Violante, who is coming off a champion with Toluca; and Orquin himself.
"We have to stay calm. When Alejandro Zendejas joined the team, he didn't have much of a resume, but today he's a great figure, undisputed," the full-back said.
According to Ralph Orquin, these few moves in the market don't change America's goal of going for another title to confirm themselves as the most successful team in Mexican soccer.
"After being three-time champions and playing in four consecutive finals, this team has the same hunger to win. We've had several conversations with coach André, who wants to instill in us the idea of ??continuing to make history at this institution," he concluded.
America will debut in the Clausura this Friday with a visit to Juarez FC, a match for which it will be without Angel Malagon and Israel Reyes, The selected players will have a few days of vacation after winning the Concacaf Gold Cup with Mexico. Their captain Henry Martín will also be absent due to injury.
