After the incident, the Danish team's doctor, Morten Boesen, offered reassuring details about the player's condition and highlighted the response of the cardiac device that Eriksen has had implanted since his medical emergency at the Euro Cup.

"Christian feels fine and left the field on his own. From what I see, the pacemaker has responded as he should," Boesen said in a statement, explaining that the footballer regained consciousness "very quickly."

"He was unconscious for a few moments, but he regained consciousness very quickly and we were immediately able to communicate with him. We are in constant contact with him and with the hospital doctors," adds the doctor's statement published online.

Likewise, Boesen insisted that the footballer is stable and sent a message of calm to his teammates.

“But Christian is fine and has asked me to give my regards to all the players and tell them that he is fine,” he insisted.
