The Swedish brand announced that the Polestar 4 will be the first car in the world to offer Google Maps' new real-time lane guidance feature directly on the driver's screen.

Artificial intelligence at the service of the driver

Real-time lane guidance combines the Google Maps navigation system with advanced artificial intelligence capable of identifying the lane the vehicle is in.

Using the Polestar 4's front cameras and road sign data, the system analyzes the surroundings and displays the information directly on the driver's 10.2-inch digital screen.

The result is an interactive visualization that highlights available lanes and precisely indicates which one to follow.

In addition, the system provides both visual and audible alerts to warn of upcoming detours or exits, reducing the risk of last-minute maneuvers.

This new feature will arrive on Polestar 4 vehicles via an over-the-air (OTA) update in the coming months. The first markets to receive it will be the United States and Sweden, and it will then be progressively rolled out to other countries and road types.
