Melania Trump stars in parade with humanoid at global AI summit
The First Lady highlighted the importance of global partnerships and reaffirmed her commitment to ensuring that children can learn and thrive in a digital world
First Lady Melania Trump led an international summit at the White House that brought together representatives from 45 countries to discuss the future of education and Artificial Intelligence (AI). The meeting, called Fostering the Future Together, became the largest global gathering ever organized by a first lady. During the event, delegations from countries such as the United States, France, Poland, the United Arab Emirates, and Morocco presented their strategies for integrating technology into education systems, in a context where AI is emerging as a key driver of economic and social development. In her keynote address, Trump outlined three pillars that, in her view, will shape the future: personalized learning through artificial intelligence, the use of humanoids as educational tools at home, and the relationship between technology, education, and economic growth. 'Plato,' the big bet for learning. One of the highlights was the unveiling of Figure3, a humanoid robot developed in the United States, which was introduced to international leaders in a diplomatic setting for the first time. "The future of artificial intelligence will be 'personified,' it will take human form," the first lady stated. “Very soon, it will move from our phones to humanoid systems that interact directly with us.”
Trump also envisioned a scenario in which these devices function as personalized tutors. “Imagine a humanoid educator named 'Plato,' capable of adapting learning to each student, available at all times,” he explained. According to his vision, this technology could strengthen skills such as critical thinking and problem-solving.
However, he also urged caution. “The safety of our children must always be the top priority,” he stressed, warning about the potential risks of intensive technology use.
The meeting brought together political leaders and representatives from the private sector, including technology companies such as Microsoft, Google, and OpenAI,highlighting the need for collaboration between governments and companies to drive innovation.
This summit makes it clear that artificial intelligence will not only transform education, but could redefine the global balance in the coming years.
