Protests in Los Angeles: Sixth Street Bridge closed due to raids
For several hours, protesters blocked the Sixth Street Bridge to demonstrate against the presence of ICE agents in Los Angeles.
Dozens of protesters blocked the Sixth Street Bridge near downtown Los Angeles on Tuesday as part of protests against raids by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents in the city and in Southern California.
The Los Angeles Police Department The LAPD reported that the protest was first reported at approximately 12:27 p.m. regarding a group of protesters blocking all lanes of traffic on the bridge, shutting down traffic.
Between 150 and 200 people gathered on the bridge to protest the presence of ICE in Los Angeles, carrying signs demanding that federal immigration agents leave the city.
