The iconic burrito of Olvera Plaza, which has become one of the emblems of the city of Los Angeles, is in danger of disappearing, and one family is determined to prevent it.
For more than six decades. A tradition for tourists and locals alike visiting Olvera Street in downtown Los Angeles has undoubtedly been taking a photo with Jorge, the stuffed donkey wearing a serape.
Jorge, a stuffed donkey pulling a wagon, has become an important part of the city’s culture, and some even consider the traditional donkey, found at the La Carreta business, to be “the unofficial mascot of Los Angeles.”
