Kaiser Permanente workers in California could join strike
UFCW local unions said Kaiser Permanente pharmacy employees voted to go on strike over unfair labor practices
Pharmacy employees could join the strike by thousands of nurses and frontline health care workers facing Kaiser Permanente as a protest against labor violations.
The United Food and Commercial Workers (UFCW) local unions, which represent pharmacy Kaiser employees announcing an overwhelming vote by its members to authorize the bargaining team to initiate an Unfair Labor Practice (ULP) strike.
“This vote sends a strong message to Kaiser: We are fed up with their union-busting tactics that undermine working people and silence our voices,” the UFCW Locals 324 and 770 Bargaining Committee said in a statement.
