Man dies shot in Houston after attacking his partner in a case of domestic violence

A man died after being shot by his partner after physically assaulting her at a residence in northwest Houston. Harris County authorities are investigating the case as a domestic violence incident.
Harris County Sheriff's Office deputies responded to a home in the 6000 block of Diantha Street on Tuesday, where they found a man dead after an alleged altercation with his partner.
According to initial investigations, the argument turned violent when the man began hitting the woman. The victim managed to escape, grabbed a firearm, and shot him, killing him at the scene.
Homicide detectives and forensic experts remained on the scene for several hours collecting evidence. Authorities have not yet revealed the identities of those involved or confirmed whether charges will be filed against the woman.
