César, a DACA beneficiary for 12 years, sells food on the streets after losing his job; the Hispanic faces the challenge despite the danger of being deported
A young Los Angeles recipient of Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) has been in need ability to sell food on the streets to survive after the permit renewal process has had delays.
César said that months in advance he requested the renewal of his DACA permit, which expired almost a month ago and which has not been processed, which is which his employer fired him.
For three weeks, César has faced the challenge of having to go out to sell food on the streets of North Hollywood and run the danger of being detained by immigration agents, or staying at home and having the risk of losing the home he bought with his mother and his two siblings.
