“My wife is dead in the bathtub”: Pennsylvania man who stabbed his partner is sentenced to life in prison
James Christopher Frank confessed to police that he slit his wife's throat and then stabbed her about 10 times to make sure she was dead.
A man was sentenced to life in prison for stabbing his wife to death in their Pennsylvania home in 2025, a statement said.
The sentencing of James Christopher Frank, 58, came a week after he pleaded guilty to stabbing his wife, Deborah Denise Glaser, 55, to death in their Easton, Pennsylvania, home.
On Tuesday, March 11, 2025, around 8:30 a.m. Bethlehem Township Police responded to a home after a call from a family member who reported concern for the well-being of people inside the property.
Upon arrival, the officers knocked on the doors and windows to announce their presence, but no one responded.
Then, according to authorities, they used a ladder to enter through a second-story window, where they encountered Frank.
After opening the door, Frank led them to a bedroom and told them: “My wife is dead in the bathtub.”
Officers entered the bathroom and found Frank's wife's body in the bathtub. Glaser lay face down in the bathtub with multiple puncture wounds and his shirt was soaked in blood.
Officers also found knives, razors, box cutters and a sledgehammer in the bathroom.
Frank confessed to police that he slit his wife's throat with a steak knife. He then testified that he pierced her chest and heart with a knife and hammer about ten times to make sure she was dead. He was arrested and charged.
On June 17, Frank was sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole.
According to the prosecution, Glaser's family was present during the reading of the sentence and had the opportunity to present their statements.
