For the first time, a female lyricist won the Filmfare
Filmfare Award for Best Song during which Kausar Munir was given the Filmfare Award for the song 'Lehra Do' from '83'. This is the first time a female lyricist has won a Filmfare Award. At the same time, B Praak won the Best Playback Singer award for the song Man Bharaya from Shershaah. While Asees Kaur won the Best Female Playback Singer award for the song Rata Lambiya by Shershaah.
She got the Best Debut Award
Sharvari Wagh won the Best Debut Female award for her film 'Bunty Aur Babli 2'. At the same time, the award for Best Debut Male was given to Ehan Bhat for '99 Songs'. Apart from this, the Best Debut Director award went to Seema Pahwa for 'Ramprasad Ki Tehrvi'.
In Screenplay, Story and Dialogue, he
won the Best Screenplay Award for 'Sardar Udham' to Shubhendu Bhattacharya and Ritesh Shah. At the same time, the best story award went to Abhishek Kapoor, Supratik Sen and Tushar Paranjpe for 'Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui'. Apart from this, Dibakar Banerjee and Varun Grover got the Filmfare Award for Best Dialogue for Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar.
In Supporting Actor 'Mimi' won Mari Baji
Sai Tamhankar for Best Supporting Actor Female, while Pankaj Tripathi won the Filmfare Award for Best Supporting Actor Male for playing Kriti Sanon's friend in 'Mimi'. Apart from this, Shoojit Sircar has won the Best Film (Critics) Award for Sardar Udham.
