Xavier Becerra surpasses Steve Hilton in poll for California governor
The survey by the Public Policy Institute of California shows voters' preference for Becerra, just over three months before the elections

Democrat Xavier Becerra has a wide lead over Republican Steve Hilton, according to a recent poll of the two candidates running for governor of California in the November elections.
According to the exercise carried out by the Public Policy Institute of California, Becerra received 61% of the preferences, compared to 36% for Hilton.
The survey was conducted in English and Spanish between June 29 and July 6, with interviews with 1,578 California adults. Of those surveyed, 1,003 claimed to be likely voters.
