The first images barely show the silhouette, but they were enough to raise expectations among fans of large German tourism cars. Alpina already has ready its pri mer grand project under the total control of BMW and everything indicates that the brand wants to recover that elegant and exclusive spirit that always differentiated it within the Bavarian universe.

The model is called Vision BMW Alpina and will be officially presented on 15 May 2026 at the Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este, one of the most refined and events stigios of the automotive world. Normal cars usually appear there. Each presentation seeks to set a trend and this new coupé seems to go exactly in that direction.

BMW showed a teaser where a long, low and stylized profile appears. The fastback bodywork, the two doors and the generous wheelbase are reminiscent of the large luxury coupés that seemed to disappear in the face of the invasion of SUVs.

A classic design with Alpine identity

Although it is still a concept car, many already speculate with a future limited production. The size and proportions point to something closer to the old BMW 8 Series, although with a much more exclusive and handcrafted personality.

The total purchase of Alpina by BMW was not simply another business operation. The idea of the German company is trans to form Alpina into an even more exclusive division, located between the more luxurious BMWs and the almost handcrafted universe of Rolls-Royce.

That's why this new coupe plays such an important role. Not only does it inaugurate a new stage for the brand, it also works as a declaration of intentions. And there is another detail that many celebrate. It's not an SUV.

In a market saturated with premium trucks, Alpina seems to bet on a car designed for traveling fast, comfortable and with a lot of style, keeping alive the essence of the great European touring cars.

The interior promises handcrafted luxury and lots of personality

Although images of the cabin have not yet been shown, there is already talk of color combinations inspired by classic models of the brand. A special blue tone could be the protagonist along with interiors covered in fine leather and handmade details.

The intention would be maintaining the traditional identity of Alpina, but taking it towards an even more refined experience.

Regarding performance, BMW did not reveal official figures nor mechanical configurations, although nobody expects a timid car. Alpina has always been characterized by offering fast, comfortable models with a different setup from the rest of the BMW range.
