How did J Balvin and Valentina Ferrer celebrate their son Rio's five birthdays?
The couple's firstborn, born in June 2021, celebrated his birthday surrounded by decorations, desserts and a large Godzilla-inspired bottarga
For the Colombian singer J Balvin and the Argentine model Valentina Ferrer, no date on the calendar has as much meaning as the birthday of their son Rio.
The little one, who was born on June 27, 2021, reached a very special milestone last weekend as he celebrated his five years of life. On the occasion of this first five years, his proud parents did not skimp on details and organized a themed party inspired by Godzilla, the legendary mutant dinosaur that has become the little one's favorite character.
Through her social networks, Valentina Ferrer offered her followers a glimpse of the colorful celebration. The shared images revealed meticulous planning that included gigantic posters, custom graphics, a themed candy table and desserts designed with the silhouette of the famous movie monster.
The highlight of the afternoon came with the appearance of a huge Godzilla botarga, which, family photos suggest, would have been carried by the “Morado” singer himself to surprise his son.
The emotion of seeing Rio grow deeply moved the Argentine model, who dedicated some heartfelt words along with a photograph where they are seen contemplating the party. "Today is the birthday of the most important and special person in my life. I don't know why being 5 years old makes me so sensitive and seeing how he is growing. I love you, Riri," he expressed tenderly. Later, she added that becoming a mother completed her existence in an unimaginable way, thanking the little boy for teaching her a love she didn't know about.
For his part, J Balvin also took to his social platforms to celebrate the life of his first-born, sharing a reel of family photographs that reflect their daily complicity. "Happy birthday to the light of my eyes! My faithful friend, you came into my life to give light in my darkest moments. You are light and the happiness of our family! Long live, Rio, Godzilla," wrote the Antioquian artist.
Rio's devotion to this character has not only marked his birthday party, but has transcended J Balvin's career. Earlier this month, the Colombian released the single “Godzilla” with WestCOL and Ovy on the Drums, a song with influences of Afrobeat and electronic music named in honor of his son's tastes.
