Ferrari HC25, the most retro and radical one-off from Maranello
Ferrari presented the HC25, a unique supercar inspired by classic models and developed under its exclusive Special Projects program
Ferrari once again demonstrated that not all of its cars are designed to reach hundreds of customers. Some are born simply to exist only once. That is exactly what happens with the new HC25, an extremely exclusive project presented by the Italian brand during the Ferrari Racing Days event at the Circuit of the Americas, in Texas.

The interesting thing about this model is that it is not a traditional limited edition nor a special variant produced in small quantities. The HC25 was created exclusively for a private client and there will be no other like it. That philosophy automatically makes it one of the most special pieces to come out of Maranello recently.

Ferrari developed this car under its “Special Projects” division, a department reserved for billionaires and collectors looking for something completely different from any conventional Ferrari. Here, the client actively participates in the creative process alongside the brand's design team for approximately two years.
Classic inspiration with a futuristic image
Although the HC25 is based on the Ferrari F8 Spider, its appearance changes radically. The model opts for an aesthetic that mixes references to the legendary Ferrari V8 rear mid-engine with much more aggressive modern details.
The design was led by Flavio Manzoni, responsible for some of the most important Ferraris of the last decade. The intention was to create a bridge between the brand's classic language and the new aesthetic direction that Ferrari will begin to explore in future models.
At first glance, its clean lines, muscular surfaces and a huge shiny black band that runs across the body from side to side stand out. This piece not only fulfills a visual function, it also helps in aerodynamics and thermal management of the engine.
The HC25 also features unique ultra-thin headlights, boomerang-style vertical daytime running lights, and hidden integrated handles in machined aluminum. The whole set conveys a much more futuristic feeling without losing the recognizable essence of Ferrari.
A Ferrari thought as a work of art
One of the most attractive elements of the HC25 is its matte “Moonlight Grey” paint, a tone that contrasts with the black details and the classic yellow brushstrokes characteristic of the Italian firm.
The brake calipers, emblems and various interior elements use precisely that yellow color to reinforce the Ferrari identity. The wheels were also designed specifically for this project and feature a diamond finish and dark accents.
Although the brand did not fully show the interior, it did confirm that the cabin maintains the same minimalist philosophy as the exterior. Ferrari talks about technical materials, gray tones and an atmosphere focused entirely on driving.
Maintains the heart of the F8 Spider
Underneath all that personalized bodywork the mechanics of the Ferrari F8 Spider continue to beat. The HC25 uses a rear-mid-mounted 3.9-liter twin-turbo V8 engine, capable of delivering 720 horsepower and 568 pound-feet of torque.
Power is managed through a seven-speed F1 dual-clutch transmission. Thanks to that configuration, this Ferrari can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in just 2.9 seconds and reach a top speed of 211 mph.
Ferrari did not reveal how much money it cost to develop the HC25, although within the Special Projects program the figures usually reach several million dollars.
