Roush takes the Ford F-150 V8 up to 705 horsepower
Roush's new Red Edition kit raises the Ford F-150 V8 up to 705 hp with mechanical improvements, an exclusive look and limited production
Roush Performance presented a special edition of the Ford F-150 that not only increases the performance of the well-known 5.0-liter V8 engine, but also adds a visual seal that makes it much more exclusive.

The proposal is called Red Edition and is aimed at Ford F-150 manufactured between 2021 and 2026 equipped with that engine. It is a limited edition created to commemorate 50 years of Roush and 250 years of America, although the real attraction is under the hood.

Far from being a simple aesthetic modification, this package transforms the behavior of the pick-up without sacrificing the reliability that characterizes the model.
A V8 with much more power
The big news for the Red Edition is a 2.65-liter Roots supercharger equipped with four-lobe rotors. Thanks to this system, the 5.0-liter V8 engine reaches approximately 705 horsepower and 635 lb-ft of torque.
The increase translates into much stronger acceleration and immediate throttle response. Whether to tow heavy loads, overtake more easily or simply enjoy a sportier drive, the difference compared to a conventional F-150 is evident.
Although Roush did not release official acceleration figures, similar preparations from the brand have shown that this configuration can complete 0 to 60 mph in less than five seconds, depending on the vehicle and its equipment.
Much more than installing a supercharger
The package was designed so that the increase in power is accompanied by components capable of supporting the new mechanical demands.
Among the parts included are a forged aluminum crankshaft damper, a specific intake system, a larger capacity radiator, an intercooler, new spark plugs and an electronic recalibration developed by Roush.
The idea is that all the modifications work in an integrated manner, offering refined operation suitable for daily use, something that does not always happen with preparations made independently.
A red detail that makes the difference
In addition to the increase in power, the Red Edition also opts for an element that attracts attention as soon as the hood is opened.
The supercharger body is finished in a deep red color, an exclusive feature of this edition that contrasts with the rest of the engine compartment and makes the V8 the main protagonist.
That finish references the colors of the American flag and, at the same time, offers a distinctive feature for those looking for a different truck at meetings, exhibitions or hobby events.
Price and availability
Roush kept the same value of the conventional black kit for this special edition. The package is priced at $8,900 and includes all the necessary components, plus the corresponding electronic calibration.
It can be installed on Ford F-150s with a 5.0-liter V8 engine manufactured between 2021 and 2026, allowing both owners of recent units and models with a few years of use to access this update.
The company confirmed that the Red Edition will be a limited production. Although it does not rule out recovering this finish in the future, it does not guarantee that it will be offered again, a decision that increases the appeal for those who want to get one of these preparations while it is still available.
