Skoda Peaq, the ambitious electric SUV that the United States will miss
The new Skoda Peaq combines great autonomy, space for seven people and advanced technology, although it will not be available in the US.
European brands continue to accelerate their commitment to electric mobility, and Skoda has just presented one of the most complete proposals in its entire history.

The new Peaq was born with the mission of becoming the company's flagship model and competing in one of the most demanding segments of the market.

The curious thing is that, despite its credentials, this SUV will not be part of the offer available to American buyers. The absence of the Czech brand in that market leaves out of play a vehicle that brings together practically all the trends that customers interested in family electric cars are looking for today.
An SUV designed for families
The Peaq stands out from the first glance for its dimensions. At 4.87 meters long and with a wheelbase close to three meters, it becomes the largest model developed by Skoda.
The brand has focused on practicality. Its cabin can accommodate up to seven occupants and offers a level of interior space that exceeds any other vehicle from the firm. For those who use only five seats, the cargo area reaches 935 liters, a figure that places it among the benchmarks in the category.
Added to this is a 37-liter front compartment, an increasingly common solution in electric vehicles to make better use of the available space.
Comfort-oriented technology
One of the most striking aspects of the Peaq is its focus on passenger well-being. The optional Relax package transforms the interior into an area designed to make long trips more pleasant.
Occupants can enjoy massage and ventilated seats, ergonomic footrests, special pillows and a folding table. It also incorporates an application focused on well-being and a premium sound system developed together with Sonos, equipped with 16 speakers and 755 watts of power.
The digital experience also takes a significant leap thanks to a 13.6-inch vertical screen and an Android-based multimedia system that allows access to numerous vehicle functions.
More autonomy and new functions
Skoda will offer the Peaq with different mechanical configurations and two battery sizes. The most capable option will use a 91 kWh battery, the largest yet installed by the company in a production model.
Thanks to this configuration, the SUV can exceed 640 kilometers of autonomy under the WLTP cycle, a figure that allows it to compete with some of the most prominent electric vehicles on the European market.
Another important novelty is bidirectional charging. This technology allows the energy stored in the battery to be used to power external devices or even provide electricity to a home in specific situations.
Power and security at the center of the project
The range includes versions ranging from 150 to 300 horsepower, with rear- or all-wheel drive alternatives depending on the driver's needs.
In addition, the model has the capacity to tow up to 2,000 kilograms, an especially attractive feature for those who use trailers, boats or motor homes.
In terms of safety, Skoda has incorporated a wide list of driving assistants. These include collision avoidance systems, turn assist, junction assist, predictive adaptive cruise control and advanced environmental monitoring.
Customers will also be able to access the Travel Assist 3.0 system, considered the most sophisticated set of driving aids developed by the brand to date.
