Social Security Payment Dates for February for Retirees in the US
Starting Wednesday, February 11, the round of payments to retirees after May 1997 begins
Starting the first week of February 2026, both retirees and beneficiaries of the various social programs of the Social Security Administration (SSA) will receive their payments.
According to the schedule, the first to receive their checks will be retirees who retired before May 1997, which will be for this Tuesday, February 3rd. After this payment, the round for senior citizens who retired after May 1997 begins.
The date of these payments is assigned depending on the beneficiary's day of birth, as follows:
Payments for retirees depend on their retirement age.
In this case, those who retire early at age 62 receive $2,000, those who retire at age 65 receive $3,000, and those who postpone retirement until 70 receive $5,000 monthly.
During the month of February, payments will also be made to those insured under the Supplemental Security Income (SSI) program. These payments will be sent next Friday, February 27, due to a schedule adjustment, as the usual sending date falls on a weekend.
SSI amounts range from $900 to $1,400, depending on marital status. This benefit is intended for low-income retirees, people with disabilities, and low-income seniors.
